Mendyka

Zenon Mendyka specializes in making and restoring traditional carriages from Spider Phaetons to Road Coaches. He is assisted by his family and about 60 employees in his state of the art factory. He uses traditional methods and woods such as ash, hickory and oak. All wooden components including wheels and all painting are done in house. There are no plastics in a Mendyka carriage. Axles, springs and other steel components are hand forged in his foundry. The designs come from original plans or are taken from antique carriages which some of his customers want reproduced because the original is too frail or too valuable for daily use. Mendyka workmanship and attention to detail are outstanding. His carriages are shown and frequently win prizes at major European driving shows and are making a name for themselves in America and elsewhere.
