Yale Wagonette – Pleasure & Training

The Yale borrows some of its design from a marathon vehicle.  Its purpose, however, is not competition but cross country “off road” pleasure driving and training for both the driver and horse. Wider and longer than a marathon, it is not suitable for CDE obstacles but these features are what give it the comfort and stability necessary for off road use. The basic model accommodates four passengers in the rear and comes with a marathon type “bucket” seat for the driver and a flat seat for the “co-driver”. Options include longer rear seats, a second bucket seat on the box, and a “step through” passage, permitting easy movement between the box seats and the passenger seats. The standard rear comes with a wide back step and grab handles on both sides or an entry door and step similar to a wagonette. The Yale is suitable for a large single horse or pairs from large ponies to draft horses. Weight for the standard model begins at 780 lbs.
